Imubit

The intelligence is artificial. The results are real.

Services: UX, UI, Brand Design

Imubit’s mission is to transcend their clients expectations using artificial intelligence to solve their toughest process control problems.

What’s in the box?

Chemical plants can have thousands of variables that affect performance at any one moment. It’s complicated stuff. And giving control of a multi-million dollar operation over to a black box algorithm is a daunting prospect. Gaining the early trust of the customer and keeping it is key to a successful engagement.

In a competition to attract top talent, the brand also needed to appeal to a young and tech-savvy workforce.

The Brand

A pinwheel of “i”s creates the “Imuburst”, Imubit’s logo. A custom geometric font comprises the wordmark. Proxima Nova was chosen for its simple lines and scientific look. A vibrant color palette with a base in blues provides energy.

The brand is nothing without the people, who have embraced it and incorporated it into a vibrant company culture.

The software

Due to non-disclosure agreements, I can’t show anything here that isn’t part of the public domain, nor can I speak to the specifics of the application. I’m always happy to have a conversation about my experience designing for artificial intelligence applications.

What I can tell you

My work for Imubit has ranged from on-site research, to prototyping and user testing, to creating the final user interface.  The software is on a cycle of continuous improvement, as the company has enjoyed a period of sustained global growth and a $50 million dollar raise to continue their expansion. My work on internal tools has helped to significantly reduce person hours spent on commissioning projects, enabling Imubit to more quickly scale.
